Gasconade River

My son Dave Jr. and I went fishing on the Gasconade River at the Jerome MO access. We had a great day and caught a lot of fish. Most of our catch was small carp and sunfish. We caught a few nice bluegill and we each landed a big drum that was a lot of fun in the catching.

  • Bait Details: Carp was our most common catch of the day along with some nice bluegill/ sunfish we initially set out for. We used some roostertails and spinnerbaits early on in the day and they worked great on the panfish. In early afternoon the night crawlers were what was bringing them in. The two drum hit on night crawler just about sundown.
