Small mouth bass spot near Newfane — Small mouth bass spot
A great little gem in southern Vermont. This body of water is a public water supply. The water is crystal clear, I could still see the bottom clearly at 12ft. The fish are spooky so use light gear and live bait.

Trout Spot near Newfane — Trout Spot
Off of Rt. 30 . pass the main park entrnce , go past the diner on the left a Hidden drive takes you to this location. there is a series of yellow gates hopefully they are all open or you will have to park and hike. keep going till the road stops or you find a channel.

Just used worms dug from my garden. The best result came from the largest worm on a gold eagle claw hook and no sinker no bobber .
Drop sinker with 2 ft leader gold hook.
Lures and live bait are good here but you have to be crafty and match the conditions.

Rapala Jointed Floating Minnow. Cast upstream in a stillpocket with cover. Twitch baut once and wait. Then hold on.
early morning, or after sunset
Need to find calmer and slower moving water to get these results. I think any bass lure would do fine but this time topwater was hot.
